How can an Engineering Student get an Internship in Google, Microsoft, Infosys, Facebook, Yahoo or Amazon?

Getting an internship starts from searching and finding. Searching may not apply if you are a student of a better college. Other than that there are various ways you can get a good company to do internship. While searching, do as a group instead of searching alone.

On Campus: As said earlier, if you are from a college who can arrange for internship on campus. Companies like Google, TCS, Microsoft, Infosys, Facebook, Yahoo visits major colleges throughout the country looking for talent candidate. Make sure you apply for it which does not mean that you will get it. Most of them have an initial GPA/percentage cutoff, below which you won't even be allowed to appear for the written. The cut-offs are college/university specific so ask your seniors what it was last year, and try and make sure you are well above it. Even if companies do allow everyone above that percentage to appear for the test, except few companies generally they tend to finally select the toppers.

Get referred by someone working at the company:
You can get reference from your seniors, friends, relatives when you miss to get a chance in on-campus or your college does not have the facility to arrange for one. Use the social media like Facebook, twitter and join some job related groups to get frequent alert on internship. They can upload your profile in their company's internal job portal for you as reference. If you have any queries about status of your profile, they will guide you by getting answers from HR internally.

Internship from Government: Some people could get internship even in some government or large scale companies like NIC (National Information Center), Port Authority etc. This is not sure but still you can try and search.

Find an HR on LinkedIn: As said, make use of social network. Most HR's have a LinkedIn profile, clearly mentioning the company they work for.  Send them a PM first, politely asking them about the possibility. They may not be directly involved with hiring interns but may be able to refer you to some of their colleague who does. But understand that your resume should be good and unique. The quality of resume matters where you are and how quickly you get internship.
