TCS Interview Experience for Freshers 2013/2014/2015 - Placement Tips

Here is the interview experience of a fresher in TCS on 20th Feb, 2015. The candidate cleared 1st round of aptitude test. He is giving tips to crack the interview.
Tip 1: Be confidence
Tip 2: Decent Communication Skills

Here are some of the interview questions he faced and sharing the experience.

TR: Introduce yourself.
Me: Told (give a quite impressive introduction about yourself)

TR: Tell me something about your project.
Me: Told. (Spoke confidently and explained everything)

TR: What is your favorite subject?
Me: MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS.

TR: Tell me about GSM?
Me: Told.

TR: What are the different multiple access techniques?
Me: Told.

TR: How does the process of making a call work on cell phones?
Me: Told.

TR: How does a message gets transmitted on Whats app?
Me: Told.

TR: Do you know anything about C++?
Me: I have a little clue about it. I had the subject in my 1st semester.

TR: What is OOP?
Me: Told about Inheritance and Polymorphism.

TR: What is Multilevel Inheritance? What is Class? Difference between C++ and Java?
Me: Told.

TR: You are from EXTC. So why I.T company?
Me: Told.

TR: What do you know about TCS?
Me: Told when it was founded. Its revenue, current CEO, current CHAIRMAN, current share price, its branches, no. of employees!!!

TR: What happens when a Laptop gets started? What is BIOS?
Me: Sorry Sir. I don't have any clue about it.

TR: What is the configuration of your Laptop and Cell phone?
Me: Told.

TR: Write down 13 billion in figures on a sheet (as I mentioned about TCS revenue).
Me: Told.

TR: Where does your father work, your native place, specialty of native place...!!
Me: Told.

TR: Are you ready to relocate? Are you willing to work in night shifts?
Me: Yes!!!

TR: You may leave!!!

"My interview continued for 35 minutes. Finally I was out of the room. I got called for HR round. I lasted for less than 5 minutes."

He recently received his offer letter from TCS.
